It was a 5 star experience. Seamless from reservation to conclusion of stay. Hi quality rooms, excellent cleanliness. Amenities top notch, enjoyed breakfast. Very unique and tasty Pennsylvania Dutch breakfast items. Great service and hospitality. With the nice touch of the new 3-5 inch snowfall and its picture perfect outcome, made our celebration have a great outcome. Highly recommend it. Shops nearby a great plus.

Business stay, a good 4.4. When traveling, I like to stay in places that make me feel like home. There is so much to unpack here. To start, sadly, Pennsylvania is a state you can do without visiting your whole life and know you didn't miss anything. Sorry! This area is so focused on the Amish lifestyle it gets in the way. Okay, about Bird-in-Hand Village Inn... The young lady, Joy, at the front is a delight who is not from the area. There were no issues checking in or out. Everything was set in motion that led right to the room smoothly. Please see the pictures. I enjoy having a couch to sit after my meetings or whatever business for that day is complete. The couch is nothing great, it is a pull out, so the stiffness is there. The TV sizes are on the smaller size for the price they are on a days. I did get to watch the playoffs. The room was nice and odd at the same time. The decor is set to make you feel a time-line and the history of PA. The bed was not bad yet, not the greatest. Oddly, there is a jacuzzi tub walled with mirrors in the room. In areas like this, no one should see a jacuzzi tub in the room. The water pressure was good and hot. A little refrigerator gave way to keeping waters and drinks cold for the evening. The table and chairs had the feeling it could break at any time with the sounds and shakiness of them. The provided amenities in the room were adequate. The room is a 3.5 for of these reasons. The shower and mirror in the bathroom bring the quality down a lot. The size is great, the shower is not with the type of curtain hung. The mirror on the wall needs to be removed. The sitting area off the room was okay. The issues come from what's above you while you sit. The area behind the house was nice and builds on the Amish lifestyle focus. The guest area provided soft drinks, water, chips, cookies, coffee, and Bigelow tea. Each day, it was restocked. The ladies working the grounds were great. The breakfast that is provided each day did add to the feeling of home in a restaurant setting. The breakfast was good. There is nothing to report about it good or bad. The parking was adequate. You can walk to the shops and cross the street, go to the farmers market, and the Bird-in-Hand theater. This was a business trip that allowed me to look around, go to some shows, and eat out in the area. I have no reason to come here now for personal reasons and adventure around. If you travel here, give yourself time to see stuff you may never need and because the hours of operation for so many businesses only go to 5pm. Enjoy and cheers,

My wife and I spent Valentine's night away and totally fell in love with this place. It's super quaint and historical, with lots of little shops to check out. Just make sure you go before 5 PM and not on a Sunday. The inn served a really filling breakfast to start our day, and we're definitely going back soon!

Would definitely stay here again! Beautifully warm historic home including lovely decor in the rooms. The reception one receives by the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, especially for those of us new to the area. There is also a lovely sitting room where you can read about the history of the adorable village and its residents, complete with unlimited drinks and snacks. The owner even came by to visit - delightful to hear about his family being in the area for six generations! Very close to many Amish farms and businesses - which were a treat to visit!! The downside…the inn is located right on an extremely busy street so if you get a room on the road side, the traffic is very loud….all night long. The inn does provide complimentary ear plugs to help so we were grateful for that. You also have to cross that busy road to get to breakfast (no stop light or stop sign). Due to the age of the home, the floors creak a lot which is not bad during the day….unless they are creaky under the bed at night! (which ours was ) Overall, this is great place to stay and we recommend it.

OMG! I can't believe how beautiful this place is. It's an old inn built in the 19th century and has been beautifully preserved since then. It belongs to the Smucker family, yeah, the ones that make our breakfast jelly. The rooms were absolutely romantic, large and had everything you would expect from a stay at a regular hotel. This place was nothing but spectacular. Loved the talks with all the personnel and left with a desire to come back asap. Love from Germany!

This year was our 4th stay at the inn. First year we stayed in 2021 in the Miller room where my husband proposed. Came back in 2022 for our honeymoon. Been back every September and we love it. Clean rooms, friendly, attentive staff. We liked Joy the innkeeper she was sweet. Our home away from home
